Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous:

Music Video Code provided by Video Code Zone

"Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous"

Always see it on t.v.
Or read it in the magazines
Celebrities who want sympathy
All they do is piss and moan
Inside the rolling stone
Talkin' about how hard life can be...

-Good Charlotte lyrics

Today I saw a clip on TMZ of Brad Pitt coming out of his production studio, Plan B. The paparazzi were in full force, cameras flashing. He looked irritated and was saying, "You guys are unbelievable. Unbelievable." Then he proceeded to snap pictures of them snapping pictures of him.
I'm not saying that there aren't some overzealous paparazzi out there that overstep appropriate boundaries at times. I'm not writing about that, though. What I want to focus on is the fact that many of those actors who court the attention of the paparazzi on their way up the ladder of success, eventually become conceited and disgusted at the attention that they NOW only want on their terms. I do not feel sorry for them at all.
Let me see, Brad, on the pro side of fame and fortune; you travel the world, you have the adoration of millions of people, you receive many ceremonial accolades and admiration and mega $$$$$$$$$$$ for the acting work you do. You stay in the absolute BEST hotels, vacation in elite places that most people couldn't even fathom the luxury thereof, you eat at the finest restaurants, live in multi-million $ mansions, wear the crème de la crème of designer clothes, you fly your own plane, and drive the most expensive and exotic motorcycles and automobiles on the planet. Your work enables you to experience life from a vantage point people such as me can only dream of. You have the rare ability to physically step into acting roles (that by now you hand-pick) and experience up close and personal, many aspects of life where you get to acquire new skills, be a part of different cultures around the globe and obtain a real, yet rare observational sense of world history.
You have chosen to be in the public eye and have definitely reaped its benefits. Plenty of which I didn't even get into.

On the con side of fame, now your privacy is invaded by flashing cameras at inconvenient times. (inconvenient times are usually those when you aren't promoting your latest project or receiving an award)

Please.

If you are unfamiliar with Perez Hilton's site- it's a celebrity gossip blog done by Mario Lavandeira. He is gay. He is snarky. He is funny. He can be offensive to those he is writing about and to those who are reading. He makes no apologies for his brash sense of humor (deems himself "Hollywoods Most Hated") and has actually created and propelled his entire career from doing his blog. He is known for outing closeted gay celebrities. His site gets 2 to 4 million hits a day and advertisers took $$$ notice. He now does magazines, radio gossip and many TV appearances. One of the things he features pretty regularly on there is funny celeb look alikes--those "Separated at birth" caricature things.

Yesterday he posted an unflattering picture of Kelly Clarkson and it made me think of Rosie and I added pictures of her beside it and emailed him this:

A short time later he replied -
"Ha!

and posted this:

LOL :)

I want to point out that other than looking similar in those pics--I really think they are both great entertainers.

Beauty Tip Of The Day

My latest shampoo fixation. Take notice that the package isn't fancy.
It's what's inside that matters. My hair is positively thriving from this stuff.

I made some seasonal photo blogs back in the Fall. I made an Autumn , Winter, Spring, and Summer blog. I had such huge plans. HUGE.
*sigh*
LOL
It seems the winter season so far in my geographical area has been totally uneventful and uninspiring... and I haven't taken any pictures yet. Maybe it will snow soon. Or we'll get one of those frozen rain things where everything gets crystalized. I'll keep you posted. :)

I was in the process of signing into Blogger, determined to write something to post, when I heard in the background an announcer on HBO for a boxing championship event. He said, "The blah blah blah of the blah blah and the status of blah blah..." The word 'status' caught my attention, because he pronounced it staytus.... which instantly sparked this topic:

I say stATus- he says STAYtus

Some say dATa .....I say dAYta

Potayyyto ---Potahhhto --Let's call the ...

Anyway, here are some more of those words and how I pronounce them.

I say Caramel like CARE amel -----Rickey says CAR amel

I say Envelope EN velope-----others say AHN velope

I say pa JAH mas, but if I nicknamed them I would say jammies

I usually say eeeeither -but occasionally I say Ither

I say neeeeither --and yes, also nIther
Potayto
Tomayto

I can't think of anymore.... "let's call the whole thing off"

Oh yeah-
I say scared ---and also scurrrrd,
"Don't be scurred!" :)

Will Smith released this in 1988. So awesome.

Well, I made it to 88mph 1988! I was planning to stay in the 80's long enough to cover all my favorite music and pop icons from then. I was also going to cover the unforgettable and cheesy fashions, but I've decided I'm ready to get back to 2007!

I can always travel there again if I get in the mood.

I'm in the mood to focus on the unforgettable decade I came of age in.
It was a pretty cool time to be a teen. I was born in 1970 and when I think of the 70's, they have a certain glow, sort of an aura in my mind as do the 80's. For the most part the 70's fashions are kind of a gross memory for me. Hippie fashions were still flourishing from the 60's, bell bottoms were in style, and a good bit of the music from then I shudder to. That could possibly just have something to do with my childhood and the music I was brought up around, but that's not what I'm posting about.
The lovely eighties were awesome. Yes, I remember the cheesiness of the hair bands and such, but it was a totally creative decade, still considered modern by todays standards and I want to revisit some of the aspects I love. Let's see if we can get it up to 88.
