I'm still here. :) I'm tryyyyying to get back in sync with my blog. I really miss it. I always love reading and commenting on certain blogs I visit (you know who all of you are) and I also love it when I get comments when people visit mine. The internet was down for nearly a week and is finally back on today. I'm still trying to obtain balance in my everyday life and it's not happening yet. Things feel surreal at times, off-kilter at times, hectic and fast paced. I'm tryyyyying to slow back down. Wish me luck.

We are still focused on doing projects around the house...and things are still hectic which is why I haven't posted consistently lately. We've decided to put some things off for a bit and rearrange financial priorities since Kayla (Rickey's daughter) is here. Her visit may evolve into living with us permanently and right now we are all adjusting to everyone's idiosyncrasies styles of living. Who knows--this might make for some thoroughly entertaining posts on this blog... :)

Out of the blue Rickey's 16 year old daughter, who lives in Texas, who he hasn't seen since she was a baby (long story) announced that she would be staying with us over the summer.
Out. Of. The. Blue. (yet thoroughly a supreme opportunity that needed to be seized upon)
Household projects halted. Hasty arrangements. Scrambling for plane ticket.
