If you could recommend a book that really inspired you and made a difference in your life, or even just a really entertaining book....what book would it be?

I don't have any inspirational books, but I do have some that are entertaining. That is if you are into science fiction, or action adventure, or suspense. I recently started reading again, and the books that I have, haven't disappointed me yet.
A book by Michael Crichton called Prey is my favorite so far. It's about nanomachines trying to adapt and evolve, and mankind becomes there prey. There were two types. I think that would should leave it at that, just in case you may want to read it. I am really looking forward to the second installment if it's written.
