I can't think of any famous people I've met in a personal setting, unless you count alot of the Atlanta Falcons.(which I don't ;)) I'm related distantly to Billy Graham and as a child went to a family reunion where his wife was present.
I met Thomas Hampson (the Baritone) when I was still in college. I very stupidly told him that someday I would like to sing with him onstage. He was very gracious, but looked doubtful. (for good reason, I suppose). He went to the same college that I went to, and was visiting in a nearby city. It was fabulous to hear him sing, and later, to shake his hand. What a cool guy, and what a great voice!!! As far as relations, supposedly our family is related to both Pocahontas and Sir Francis Drake. Apart from that, we are anonymous...lol.
I saw Hulk Hogan at a Denny's once and when I was in NYC I saw Montel and Florence Henderson. I didn't get to talk to them but it was cool. I saw Fabio later that day and he shook my hand. lol He was at a "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" booth on the street.
At the end of this month Matthew McConahey is filming a movie about 45 minutes from me so I'm going to go snag an autograph or something.
